When we were children, we had this "idea" of who we wanted to be when we got older. Life doesn't really work out that way in the end. I used to perform when I was little. I took voice lessons and performed on stage. Good voice, not so good stage presence. I was a shy kid, still am somewhat of a shy person. So therefore I never turned out to be the "performer" my parents maybe had hoped I would become. Tried out for American Idol and didn't even get past the first round. Hate to disappoint, but Paula, Randy and Simon are NOT present in the first couple of rounds. They turned down a lot of good singers. Didn't surprise me that I didn't make it though, I forgot the words to "Ain't no Sunshine" and I don't have the outgoing personality/voice of William Hung or the slutty-ness of "bikini-girl." I swear that Katrina girl auditioned a year before and didn't make it on TV because I remember another girl in her bikini at auditions in San Diego. Probably the same girl? She does live in Chino Hills after all... Oh well, I gave it my best shot. I love reading magazines so I am always reading about these singers like Katy Perry or Christina Aguilera who said that they "never" gave up and eventually they got lucky. But I don't have the pipes of Mariah or the song writing talents of Taylor Swift. At least one girl from Riverside got to be a backup singer for Taylor Swift, can't say I like her that much...especially since she's dating my sister's ex-boyfriend.

That's life though right? Always wanting the limelight. "The paparazzi keep FOLLOWING me." Let me ask you this: would you rather the paparazzi follow you and you make millions, or would you rather not be famous and not have paparazzi follow you? Brad Pitt broke down on his motorcycle and some paparazzi gave him a ride, but also questioned and interviewed him. At the end of the ride, the paparazzi said to Brad, "you can say thank you," when he got out of the car, but Brad responded, "you can say thank you for the interview." Really? What makes Brad Pitt so special? Is he an alien?

I can't believe our society has scummed to paying a photographer one million dollars for the first shot of Brad and Angie's twins! Aren't celebrities just people put in front of a camera? Isn't that why Paris Hilton is famous? Heiresses hang out near places where paparazzi are present, so they become famous or infamous? I doubt if a sex tape of me was leaked no one would give a shit. What's our fascination with being famous and worshipping celebrities? I am guilty of it too. Just look at all the magazines I read/subscribe to: Cosmopolitan, Glamour, US Weekly, Life&Style, In Touch, Marie Claire, Lucky...Yep. Someone please save me from myself. :)
